Hi! I’m Ansel, and I’m a Vancouver-based filmmaker and writer. I write, shoot, and edit original films, studio/gallery art pieces, and client video and colouring work under my independent production house, Line of Best Fit Media. My practice spans independent cinema, visual art, photography, and commercial media, with a focus on experimentation, challenging perspectives, compelling visuals, and authentic storytelling.
In addition to film & video, I also write articles, short stories, and poetry for Line of Best Fit’s in-house publication ‘Dispatches from the Long Road to Liberty.’ These comprise original pieces of various forms, published weekly on the Line of Best Fit Substack and website.
Finally, I also work as a client & gallery photographer and social media creator. I primarily concentrate on landscape, street, product, and portrait photography, and have worked on event coverage for concerts and graduations.
